RECONDITIONED STAIRLIFTS

If your budget cannot stretch to a new Stairlift, reconditioned/ pre-loved stairlifts can be an option depending on the type of stairs that you have.

However, reconditioned stairlifts are only suitable for straight stairs as the Aluminium straight rail can be cut to length to suit your home.

Curve rail reconditioned Stairlifts are NOT an option as the steel rails are custom designed for that particular home.  Please stay away from anyone that will offer you the option of doing this as it is a very dangerous practice and illegal in the UK.

Just like a car, your stairlift requires regular maintenance to ensure it's reliability, especially so when you require your stairlift to fully access your home.

Regular maintenance can often foresee potential problems that may arise thus preventing an emergency situation when the stairlift is needed urgently.

Replacing worn parts or components before they can cause a breakdown/ further wear. 

Checking the carriage, seat, rail fixings and the rail are fully secure and in a safe working order. Inspecting for signs of fatigue.

Electrical - checking the batteries, wiring looms, safety switches/ devices. Often preventing that emergency call-out to replace batteries that are beyond or nearing the end of their working lifetime.
